Dem’s Utopia: Anarchists Seize Control of Seattle and Terrorize Local Residents and Extort Businesses
While we would like to consider ourselves reasonable, level headed people, stories like this one bring out a different side. It makes us wish that the police would get up off their butts and start rounding up all of these hippie types. When it comes to the autonomous zone that Seattle has established, we are definitely getting Occupy Wall Street vibes.
People think that they are making a meaningful change in the world by deciding to take up space that does not belong to them. There are certain lessons that need to be learned the hard way, though. It’s only a matter of time before the protesters in Seattle are taught a very difficult lesson about their actions.
How much longer can this sort of travesty go on for? Some believe that they should wait for the “Animal Farm” laws to go into effect. The same people who believe that they are all for equality tend to buckle on that principle eventually when they are left to their own devices. Meanwhile, there are others who think that the zone needs to be broken up right now.
No one can seem to tell if the autonomous zone is just a large scale hippie convention or if it is a cauldron that is waiting to boil over. The city and state seem to believe that they could clear the area out if they needed to but they are not always certain about that. If we were law abiding citizens of Seattle, we would want definitive answers and we would want them right now.
The #SeattleAutonomousZone is devolving into warlordism.
Rapper Raz Simone, who has been patrolling the barricades with an AK-47 and a handgun, has begun assaulting residents who disobey him.

Raz Simone is the local rapper who stands accused of functioning as the warlord of the area. He’s patrolling the barricades while armed, letting everyone in the city know that they are in charge now. Seattle police have even admitted to hearing about various extortion reports from the autonomous zone but they are not willing to actually do anything about them at the moment.
As for the fire chief of the city, he is more concerned with building trust with the occupants than getting them to clear out. You’d think that they would be worried about the potential health hazards here but they are not. The New York Times has already seized on the city’s inactivity and it is not going to shock you to hear that they are all for it. The virtue signaling is at an all time high.
The city is offering their tacit blessing and people are wasting no time running with it. They are currently putting up their own street signs, letting Seattle know that they are in it for the long haul. The autonomous zone dwellers may pretend that they are operating with a political objective in mind but the nighttime block parties say otherwise.
She said police are receiving reports of armed people manning the check points intimidating people trying to enter.
“While Washington is an open carry state, there is no legal right for those arms to be used intimidate community members,” Nolette said.
Nolette said operating a citizen checkpoint on a public street is illegal.
“We have heard anecdotally of citizens and businesses being asked to pay a fee to operate within this area; this is crime of extortion,” Nolette said.
The whole thing feels like an excuse to be lazy, while acting like you’re engaging in real activism. It’s an extension of the same slacker activist aesthetic that many of these people have been cultivating on their Instagram pages. CHAZ (as the area is now known) is a commune crossed with a street festival. Is that what these people want to be known for?
It’s not like they are getting anything else accomplished. It’s the same principle that college students used to apply when they had their campus sit ins. At night, they even show movies that are designed to increase people’s level of racial awareness. President Trump has had enough, though. He is encouraging local authorities to intervene.

He took to Twitter and issued a strong condemnation of what is happening in Seattle. Governor Inslee was taunted in the tweet, wherein Trump promises to step in if no one else is willing to do so. This debate is sure to heat up over the coming days and weeks. As for Inslee and Mayor Durkan? They cracked some jokes on his tweet and sent him away. It’s a sign of where we are as a culture these days that this was deemed acceptable by most.
