President Trump knows exactly how to handle China and their evil ways. He calls their bluffs and knows exactly how to hit back, so they get the point that they should not mess with the United States. China has expelled all the American journalists and has since tried to blame the problem on the United States. They have also tried to blame America for the viral problem. As they blame the United States no one complains. But when President Trump calls the virus a “Chinese virus” the world goes crazy.
President Trump is right in what he stated about the virus. It is a Chinese virus as it has come from China. His critics are making a big deal about nothing as they argue semantics over the language that he uses. They constantly look for ways to criticize and attack the president. Simply because he knows what he is doing, and it drives them crazy. Many have taken offense to the language that he is using.
Richard Engel is one of those people that just cannot stand the fact that of what the president is calling the virus. Richard Engel works for NBC as a chief correspondent. He stated that the virus really “is a bat virus, not a China virus.” His point is one of endless argument. It is based on preference and not on fact. He went on to defend China when he said that “China certainly feels that.”
No one really cares what China thinks at this point. They have been taking advantage of the American people for years and President Trump finally called them out on it. Engel believes that President Trump’s comment is “scapegoating” the Chinese people. Engel has failed to realize that the Chinese people are the reason the virus exists at all. It starts in their land and once it was discovered by their government they tried to cover it all up from the rest of the world. China was embarrassed that they failed to contain an outbreak. They just did not want to own up to their mistakes.
Engel’s attack on the president is typical anti-Trump behavior. He stated that “It’s easy to scapegoat people and that is what has always happened when there have been pandemics or epidemics: that foreigners are attacked, foreigners sometimes physically attacked.” And yet here is Engel scapegoating the president for what was said in the truth about the origin of the virus. History will record the name of the virus from where it started.
Engel tried to give a history lesson on scapegoating throughout history and seems to have failed to make his point. He stated that “If you look at what happened during the Middle Ages, there was lots and lots of scapegoating against an ethnic group or a religious group whenever there were pandemics that affected society and frightened a lot of people and china certainly feels that that is what is happening now with people calling it the ‘Wuhan flu’ or the ‘Wuhan virus’ or the ‘China virus.’”
The virus will be named after its location because people tend to name things after a person or a location to remember it better. This is exactly what President Trump has done. His argument is nothing more than his own opinion. He stated “This is a virus that came from the territory of China but came from bats. This is a bat virus, not a China virus. It doesn’t speak Chinese. It doesn’t target Chinese people. It targets human beings who happen to touch their eyes, nose or mouth.”
He states the obvious and no one is listening. President Trump has made every effort to help people get through the hard times of the China virus. It will become a thing of the past that everyone will want to forget. President Trump stated in all wisdom that “As you know, China tried to say at one point, maybe they stopped now, that it was caused by American soldiers. That can’t happen. It’s not gonna happen. Not as long as I’m president. It comes from China.” He has caught China in a lie and he is not going to let them get away with it.
